I bought this item after frustration with my electric sweeper not being able to pick up in corners, etc. So, I thought I'd do away with fancy and get back-to-basics. This is not the sweeper for that. I have a tile floor in the kitchen so it's an uneven surface. This sweeper doesn't pick up anything on that floor. OK, I thought, I'll just use it on my hardwoods. Nope, doesn't pick up anything either. I have to go over and over and over the same piece of dirt to get it to pick up. It doesn't even pick up Cheerios! As a test I put uncooked rice on the floor in a pile. It hardly picked up anything. So, don't waste your money. My old-fashioned broom works much better with the same amount of effort.

With a 9-1/2-inch cleaning path and a six-brush system, the sweeper snags lint, crumbs, pet hair, and debris from bare floors and carpet. It features two roller brushes and four corner-mounted edge cleaners that are ready to go instantly and adjust automatically to floor type. Bissell designs the brush rollers to turn in opposite directions, so the unit picks up whether it's going forward or backward. Emptying the sweeper's front and back collection pans is simple--just flip them open on their sturdy hinges and dump--while a clip-on brush comb helps maintain the rollers. The unit's steel handle can stay upright or release to horizontal, and it features a hanging hole for storing the tool flat against the wall.
