I tried several sweepers even one of those battery deals and this one beats them all. I had an older one just like it and my son took it to college but couldn't find one local so Amazon came through, had it in like 2 days.

Use it on bare floors or carpets to sweep up dirt and crumbs, and slide it under furniture to trap lint and dust bunnies. The sweeper's dual-direction brush roll snags debris off the floor in both forward and reverse, so coverage is highly efficient. The twin dustpans empty easily with a simple push from underneath, and a clip-on comb helps keep the brush roll clean. Made of durable steel with a thick rubber bumper, the sweeper is long lasting and kind to floors and furniture. The construction is straightforward, easy to use, and lightweight in action.
