If mites (actually mite feces) are your problem - this is one effective way to help.
Personally I find changing my pillow case every night, and my bed sheets every week to be the best thing. But Acarosan powder works and is safe if you follow directions.
It takes a lot of vacuuming to get up most of the powder (as I confirmed by calling Bissell's 800 number). And the powder still leaves a smell (or lingering particals in the air?) that might irritate for a night or two, to my nose anyway. Ventilate well and vacuum some more!

The Bissell Acarosan dust mite control for carpets, mattresses, and upholstery is EPA registered and kills dust mites which aids in a complete cleaning program. Acarosan spray is most effective on upholstery, mattresses and pillows. One treatment kills dust mites for up to two weeks and its water based formula has no added fragrance.
