Customer Review: A keeper for the price

I have to admit for the price it does a decent job. Like others said you have to refill the tank frequently but it's easy to do and a bigger tank would make the machine heavier/harder to move around. Our carpet hadn't been cleaned in three years and was very dirty in the high traffic areas. I would say they look 75% better. I was hoping for a miracle and the carpets to look completely new but no luck. Maybe if I do some pre-treating and elbow grease. The stair attachment is less than desirable. It sprays a crazy stream and would be better if it had a rotating brush. I read briefly in the manual there is some clean up/maintenance to do with the machine after you finish the job but I was too tired to tackle that last night so I will review that today and attempt to keep the machine as the manual states. I do feel like the carpet has kind of a rough feeling to it like the soap dried on it or something but it's probably just the feeling of clean fibers??? I plan to vacuum today now that it's dry and maybe that will soften it all up a bit. Overall great for the money, not too heavy and I see an improvement in the carpets. I would recommend this product.
