My upright vac was beginning to blow some foul odors. When I removed the old filter it was dirty and brown. Time to replace the post-motor HEPA filter.
The new Filter arrived in good condition and was a genuine Bissell. The filter is sturdy and should last a while.
Before replacing the HEPA filter, I cleaned the air outlet with a sanitizing wipe. A quick change and the vac is as good as new.
Be sure to clean the other two "sponge type" filters (if your vac has them) for peak performance.

I purchased this filter to replace a Bissell brand filter. This filter is made by Crucial Vacuum and claims 99.97% efficiency (over generic brands' 95%). At half the price of Bissell filters, it's a good purchase. The filter is all white, making it possible to mark the date of replacement on the plastic frame, using a permanent marker. It fits snugly into my Bissell vacuum and does the job. The package recommends replacing filters every 6 months.Customer Review: Good item

After much research I picked this Bissell cleaner. It has worked out well. Easy to put together. Light but works very well. It is a little hard to clean with all the filters.
